The “Smokehouse” Semi-Hollow Bellecaster looks like it’s already got a few stories to tell.
A deep Dark Violin/Bourbon Burst rolls across a flamed maple top before disappearing into dark, smoky edges. Add the F-hole, aged pearloid guard, aged nickel hardware and a light relic treatment, and Smokehouse lands somewhere between an old favorite and a one-of-a-kind custom that’s been hiding behind the bar for 30 years.
The neck is an absolute showstopper—5A roasted birdseye maple from the shaft all the way through the fingerboard, with figuring that seems to change every time the light hits it. Heavy rolled edges and a hand-rubbed tung oil finish give it that smooth, played-for-years feel, while abalone inlays and glowing Luminlay side dots add just enough flash to remind you this is no ordinary old workhorse.
